Diet means to select or limit the food one eats to improve one’s physical condition or lose weight.
Okay, I go along with selecting the right foods, but limit them? I don’t think so! The very thought of limiting (or depriving) myself of any particular food won’t work for me. Why? Because I love to eat!
However, I do need to lose about 20 lbs, and I also need more energy, so my first New Year’s Resolution for 2012 is to go on, what I’ll call, a healthy choice diet. That means that I’ll make healthier choices in what I put into my mouth each day starting tomorrow. I won’t necessary eat less, although that will be an option, but if I feel like I’ve had enough to eat, then I’ll stop until I’m hungry again. Hopefully, I’ll still lose weight.
I’ll also add the resolution to exercise at least 30 minutes a day, 5x week, but that’s about all that I can commit to as far as improving my overall physical condition this upcoming year. That’s enough.
As for other resolutions, I have a few for 2012. I’m planning on completing my second novel WOOLEN BIKINIS soon and I’m looking forward to promoting my first novel IN POLYESTER PAJAMAS when it gets released in a few months. Also, I want to finish the sweater that I’m making for my first grandchild who’s expected in March. It’s promising to be a good year so far for me with many new adventures. I hope the same is true for you.
