Another first is coming up for me – my first online interview. You can check it out anytime on Monday, August 13th at The Author Show. It’s an audio broadcast that will be available for only 24 hours, beginning at 12 am EST.

It was actually done via telephone a little over a week ago, and then put into a professional studio to prepare it for broadcast. I was more than a little nervous when the interview happened and, since talking by speakerphone or using a headset weren’t an option, I had to hold onto the handset or rest it on my shoulder the whole time. No matter what, I couldn’t keep from shaking. Immediately, I thought I was doomed.

But as soon as I started talking, I forgot all about the shakiness and nervousness and got right into it. Believe me, I was animated and enthusiastic. I told the host, Don McCauley, all sorts of things about in Polyester Pajamas and its characters, about myself as an author, and I even shared information on panic attacks and agoraphobia. (FYI – one of the characters in the book is agoraphobic.)

There’s stuff in this interview that you haven’t heard before, so mark your calendar and don’t miss it. Also, be sure to tell me what you think of it after you’ve heard it—I welcome your comments.

    Hi Cathy!
Just listened to your interview and you did a fabulous job! Your description of the book was clear, concise, and informative. I can’t imagine anyone hearing the interview not wanting to rush out and buy the book. It was also nice to put a “voice” with the face.
