Before my first novel in Polyester Pajamas was published last year, I bought Jim’s book and enjoyed reading it. The story of his life growing up in the Lakes Region (NH) impacted me so much that I wrote a blog post about it (A Child’s Survival – April 19, 2012). I hadn’t yet met him when I did this.
Months later, when he found out I was also a Lakes Region author, he sent me an email and we’ve kept in touch since. He’s read both of my books and has a blurb on the back of my second novel in Woolen Bikinis. We also recently did a television interview together.
It was a great time today and I hope that the two of us can do more joint author events in the future.
If you haven’t read his memoir yet, you should check it. It’s available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and, of course, at Annie’s Book Stop in Laconia.
